The FAST Board, along with several key volunteers have been working hard to cleanup Leaders Park and Tuthill Park after the storms/tornadoes on the night of September 10th.
Leaders Park had a hand full of downed trees and trail obstructions that were cleared and opened first on Sunday the September 15th.
Tuthill in particular was hit hard and even closed to the public for more than a week. After about 30 man hours worth of trail clearing and dirt work, trails are back open at Tuthill. Special Thanks to Brian, Trevor, Ryan, John etc. for all you do and all the support.
Yankton Trail/Riverbank SingleTrack - Woof. Its been a rough year along the banks of the Big Sioux. We'll be assessing as things dry out and keep you posted :).
We ask that trail users use caution on all trails as there's a lot of storm debris on the sides of the trail particularly at Tuthill. Several of the drainage crossings/bridges were also affected by the storm so please use caution.
We're aware that many of you would like to lend a hand during these efforts and we hear you. Our priority is safety during work sessions so we tend to keep volunteer numbers low during heavy chainsaw and aerial cutting work. Thanks for your understanding and patience.
