Trail Maintenance: Yankton Trail Park
Join Us for Trail Maintenance at Yankton Trail Park – Monday, August 11
We’re calling on all trail users—bikers, runners, hikers, and walkers—to help us keep Yankton Trail Park in top shape!
🗓 Monday, August 11 at 6 PM
📍 Meet at the Minnesota Ave main trailhead sign
We’re hosting an evening of trail maintenance focused on trimming back overgrowth. This kind of upkeep may not be flashy, but it’s absolutely essential to keeping the trails safe, accessible, and fun to use. Overgrown branches and brush can create visibility issues and bottlenecks, and with your help, we’ll get things cleaned up quickly and efficiently.
Your trail lead for the evening is Ethan Metz, who will have the plan (and the tools) ready to go. All you need to bring is:
Closed-toe shoes
Work gloves
Water to stay hydrated
Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or thinking about joining for the first time, this is a perfect low-key opportunity to give back to the trails you love. You’ll meet other trail users, enjoy a little evening fresh air, and make a noticeable difference in just an hour or two.
We hope to see you Monday! Let’s keep Yankton Trail Park looking its best.

Trail Maintenance - Tuthill Park
We’re hosting a trail maintenance session at Tuthill Park, Monday, June 30, at 6 PM. Meet us at the east end of the upper parking lot. We’ll be trimming and clearing overgrowth east of the sledding hill.
Bring gloves, water, and closed-toe shoes. Andrew and Miles Hoy will be your trail maintenance leaders for the evening. Every helping hand makes a difference—see you out there!

Trail Maintenance - Yankton Trail Park
Help us clear back overgrowth and improve visibility at Yankton Trail! We’re hosting a trail maintenance session on Tuesday, June 17 at 6 PM, and we’d love to have you join us.
We’ll be focusing on trimming back brush and opening up sight lines to keep the trail safe and enjoyable for all users. No experience needed—just bring your gloves, water, and eye protection. We’ll meet at the Minnesota Ave parking lot trailhead before heading out together.
Ethan Metz will be leading this session and will guide the crew through what needs to be trimmed and how to make the most impact. Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or a first-time trail helper, this is a great opportunity to give back to the trails you love.

Trail Maintenance - Leaders Park
Help us give Leaders Park a little TLC!
Join us at Leaders Park on Thursday, June 12, at 6 PM at the south trailhead on Leadale Ave for a hands-on evening of trail maintenance.
We’ve got some cleaning up to do—and we could use your help! This session will focus on:
Trimming back brush that’s crowding the trail
Mowing overgrown areas to keep the lines clean
Clearing out downed branches and trees to keep things safe and rideable
Your trail leads for the evening, Adam and Scott, will have the plan and the tools ready—you just need to show up with:
Closed-toe shoes
Gloves
Water to stay hydrated
Whether you’ve volunteered before or are new to the crew, this is a great way to give back to the trails you ride, run, and hike.
We hope to see you on Thursday!

Hello Hi Community Bike Ride
Hey, wanna hang out? Maybe go for a bike ride?
Join Hello Hi, Sunday, June 8th, for a fun, casual community bike ride hosted by The Hello Hi and our friends Spoke N Sport.
We'll head out from the bar at 4:30, hit the SF bike trail, and ride to Spoke N Sport (3401 S Cliff). From there, we will get back on the trail and head back the way we came to The Hello Hi.
There of course will be an option to ride the full loop all the way around too, if anyone is looking to put on some miles.
We'll also be doing a 50/50 raffle for FAST (Falls Area Single Track)
Summer is here, let’s meet up and have some fun!

Jokes & Spokes Bicycle Comedy Tour - The Rush
Jokes & Spokes Bicycle Comedy Tour with Skyler Bolks at The Rush in Sioux falls, SD

Jokes & Spokes Bicycle Comedy Tour - A Homestead Brew
Bikes, Bonfire, BBQ, Beer!
We're doing Comedy by the campfire!
Join Skyler Bolks as seen in 'America's Best Bar Comics' on his 1000-mile Bicycle Comedy Tour across eastern South Dakota.
Jerry Irby, seen in 'America's Best Bar Comics', joins the tour for this unique show if you haven't seen him perform, you'll quickly see why he has been crowned Sioux Falls’ Funniest many times over.
Skyler will be closing this campfire show with the scariest stories he can muster, true stories from the life of a stand-up comic. If you've ever wondered what happens when two comedians get pulled over by the police, how a man of 6'7" can sleep in a Prius, or how to take advantage of a department store appliance rental, this show is for you!
Group Ride info:
We will be meeting at Lewis on East Madison Ave at 6 pm. The plan is to cut up to 264th st to cross Veterans Parkway and all the way through to Brandon, then use highway 11 to reconnect to 264th and keep heading east past the Beaver Creek nature area to 486th and straight to the brewery.
Tent camping is unfortunately not allowed at the brewery but that's just as well because after the show you can join Skyler for a midnight ride home down the haunted Spook Road.
Brady Wrede singing from 5:00 - 7:30 pm
Comedy at 8:00 pm
Backyard BBQ serving 5:00 - 8:00 pm
Part of the proceeds of this tour benefit trail-building efforts by FAST.

Jokes & Spokes Bicycle Comedy Tour - Sklyer Bolks - The Taco Vault
Bikes, Tacos, Comedy, Beer, Music!
Join Skyler Bolks as seen in 'America's Best Bar Comics' on his 1000-mile Bicycle Comedy Tour across eastern South Dakota.
The Taco Vault shows have a unique atmosphere you have to experience to understand. With house band "Animal Cider" and the masked host setting the tone in the basement of South Dakota's best Taco restaurant, you can't have a bad time. Feature act Luke Johnson is a South Dakota Comedy staple, best known for his work across the region with the Pub and Grub Comedy Tour. Skyler will be closing the show with all new material. Energy will be high, and the stakes are even higher for this kick-off show of the Jokes and Spokes Bicycle Comedy Tour!
Group Ride info:
The night kicks off with a group ride to The Taco Vault starting at Yankton Trail Park. I've been riding straight down Western for a nice gravel ride, but the maps recommend Louise for a paved route. I'm willing to ride either way based on interest. I'm working on closer camping arrangements, but there is also a campground about 4 miles out of town for anyone who wants to pack up the tent and make an overnighter out of it.
Part of the proceeds of this tour benefit trail-building efforts by FAST.
