Falls Area SingleTrack (FAST) Advances Great Bear Trail Build, Announces Phase 2 and Community Events
Sioux Falls, SD – April 14, 2026 — Falls Area SingleTrack (FAST) is entering a pivotal stage in The Great Trail Build at Great Bear Ski Valley, with construction crews returning to complete Phase 1 and planning already underway for future expansion.
The IMBA Trail Solutions crew is back on site to finish the remaining pieces of Phase 1, bringing the project closer to delivering approximately five miles of purpose-built, multi-use singletrack. Designed for long-term sustainability and a wide range of rider abilities, the trail system highlights the community’s continued investment in outdoor recreation in the Sioux Falls region.
With Phase 1 nearing completion, FAST is actively advancing plans for Phase 2, which will expand trail mileage and introduce more progressive riding opportunities. Fundraising efforts are now underway to support continued development.
“This is the moment where the vision really starts to come to life,” said FAST President Ronpaul Dezell. “We’re not just building trails—we’re building something that will change how people experience Great Bear and connect with the outdoors in Sioux Falls. And we’re just getting started.”
FAST is also inviting the community to take part in two upcoming events that support local trails and stewardship efforts:
