Treasurers Report

Discussion: Finances are in good order, and all invoices are paid. General account has been bolstered with recent donations. Updated approvals for expenditures. Below $500 - NA. $500 or above - Slack quorum. $1,000+ - Board Approval/Agenda item

-Updated guideline for expenditures and approvals motion made by Secretary Blomberg. Carried. Approved.

-SWAG and online store changes due to tax implications

-Fundraising thresholds for non-profits - $200,000 threshold and formal donation back to the city

Great Bear, Fundraising, etc

Discussion: Phase 2 consistent talking points – pushing forward with more building in 2026. 

-Phase 1 needs – leaving leaves, but work to clear the rock armoring

-Boy Scout projects – changing station and major donor benches

-Signage – add Bike Only stickers below Do Not Enter

Action Item: Wrap up year-end asks and grant requests as noted in the master fundraising list.

Board Positions/Candidates

Discussion: Formal approval of Ethan Metz – motion made to add Ethan to the board as Member at Large. Carried. Approved. Terms updated to 2 years for each position

Updated current board officers – RonPaul Dezell – President, Reva Graves – VP, Jim Masaa– Treasurer, Brad Blomberg– Secretary, Ben Blomberg Member at Large with focus on city liaison,

Action Item: Current members bringing names to the next meeting. New names and faces added to the board and potentials list.

Misc. Discussion/Open Floor

Sioux Falls BMX – Parks needs help. Parks is working with USA BMX

-Several issues need to be addressed, and FAST may be able to help.

Members meeting – pushed to 2026, ideas generated

State of the dirt - Fall Maintenance – parks and tools/equipment

• Legacy/Dunham Trails – request by Adam W. to rent a proper tiller/equipment to reconcile surface issues. Est. $1,200. Motion to approved. Carried. All in favor. 

• Skills park updates and maintenance to be completed before the frost

Falls Area SingleTrack (FAST)

Falls Area SingleTrack’s (FAST) mission is to protect, create, and enhance quality trail experiences for mountain bikers in cooperation with other trail users in the Sioux Falls area. FAST actively promotes responsible trail use, supports volunteer trail work, assists land managers with trail management issues, and improves relations among all trail user groups.
