Meeting Called To Order

Treasurer's Report 

Discussion: Thad presented reports in good standing.

Great Bear Trail Build 

Discussion: Fundraising Next Steps.

Action Items: Brad and Ben are making contact and submitting grant applications to numerous area businesses. Reva finishing 1-pager for GB sell sheet and printing 10 more copies of the booklet. Jim is checking with IMBA on RFP Process, services. FAST is generating a contractor list to review.

Trail Reclamation (Flooding)

  • Legacy/Dunham – status good and complete for now, with minor work to come from the trail lead.

  • Yankton Trail – holding water, trail lead reviewing again next week. YT East mainly needs time to dry and some debris clearing. Sand clearing. 

  • Spencer – Rehab session on Monday, July 15. Led by RP.

  • Pasley/Riverdale – Trail lead is reviewing, plan coming together, more to come, sand will be a big obstacle in Riverdale 

  • Boulevard – Trail lead, Brad and Adam reviewing on Wednesday, July 10th. 

  • Leaders – Trail lead organizing a crew to rehab the drainage and junction on expert/return to the South bridge. Need to find a solution to slow water.

Falls Area SingleTrack’s (FAST) mission is to protect, create, and enhance quality trail experiences for mountain bikers in cooperation with other trail users in the Sioux Falls area. FAST actively promotes responsible trail use, supports volunteer trail work, assists land managers with trail management issues, and improves relations among all trail user groups.
